A crest on the graph of Indian Cricket, for we did to the Pakistanis what we did to the Pearl Islanders not so long ago. The Pakistanis bound by a flux of aggression resembled a desperate hawk chained to a post, before a young, blooming Indian lineup. The blade of deputy - Yuvraj Singh made a statement in bright red to the 'test' selectors for the forthcoming English visit. The tour also witnessed wrecker-in-chief- Mahendra 'meat-loaf' Dhoni deplete a few emryonic bowling careers across the border. The Indians have moved on after the 'unceremonious' (as they say) jettisoning of, now former skipper Sourav. Moved on, they have, to an altogether new dimension in the sport, which sees not, a shade less than brilliance.
A name missing in the earlier paragraph is that of a certain Rahul Dravid, whom I believe is the greatest sportsperson the country has ever produced. A great leader (understatement), an example and an emblem of mental strength.
"It's no use needling him...."- Shahid Afridi.
Forgive me for the abrupt end to the idolatry for I cannot thing beyond.
I foresee the lads turning some pink English skin into bottle green as the latter have been napping on pillows stuffed with the Ashes since the ‘emphatic’ (with all due respects) win last year. We too have sharp horns.
